COMMUNITY OUTREACH

FCMP is committed to cultivating an appreciation for the arts in students and adults throughout Duval and St. Johns counties and the Jacksonville Metropolitan area. Many of FCMP’s concerts are multi-media, presenting not only chamber music, but also guest musicians, local visual artists, historians, and instrument makers.

Student Program
FCMP is excited to announce that students with a valid student ID can attend unlimited FCMP concerts at the Beaches Museum Chapel for $10 per ticket! FCMP is committed to sharing the music we play with the broadest possible audience in our community. We believe our music has the power to inspire, challenge, move, and uplift, and that everyone, including young people, deserves the opportunity to experience transformational performances. With $10 tickets for students, we are expanding access to the arts for young people and making it easier than ever to experience FCMP concerts.
How does it work? Just present your valid student ID at the ticket window the day of the concert.

Senior Living Communities Program
Numerous studies have documented that music can stimulate parts of the brain and enhance the memory of Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. In fact, a study conducted by UC Irvine showed that scores on memory tests of Alzheimer’s patients improved when they listened to classical music. Research also shows that music activities (both music listening and music making) can influence older adults’ perceptions about the quality of their lives.
In keeping with FCMP’s goal of offering onsite concerts to increase awareness and enjoyment of classical music and improve the quality of life for the area’s senior citizens, the FCMP conducts concerts onsite at various Senior Living Communities. In addition, FCMP has a “first time is free” policy for Senior Living Community residents who come to hear them perform at the Beaches Museum Chapel. To date, FCMP has played concerts for residents at Pablo Towers, Cathedral Towers, Cypress Village, Fleet Landing, Westminster Woods and Vicars Landing.
